Melissa (Ferrigno) Trow

After a 5 ½ year battle with metastatic colon cancer, Melissa (Ferrigno) Trow, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Melissa leaves her loving husband, Josh Trow, and beautiful daughter, Olivia Trow; her parents, Jim and Mary (Milvae) Ferrigno; her brother, Joey Ferrigno; her in-laws, Jeff and Laura (Taylor) Trow; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, notably, Jessica Barta and Sarah Peterson, for whom she was “baby cousin.” Melissa was pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, Bob and Joan Milvae; and paternal grandparents, John and MaryAnn Ferrigno.

Melissa was born March 22, 1985, and was a graduate of East Hartford High School and Colby Sawyer College. Melissa leaves countless friends and supporters and will be missed by all.

A special thank you goes to the Cosmo Radio Girls, Colorectal Cancer Alliance, OG June 18 Bumpers, Lake Sunapee Region VNA and Hospice, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital and Cancer Center, and especially the doctors, nurses, and staff at Jack Byrne Palliative and Hospice Center who ensured that she was able to move on in comfort.

A memorial service will be held in Melissa’s honor on Monday, July 31, 11 a.m., at St. Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor, CT with a Celebration of Life following at Blue Hills Fire Department, 1021 Blue Hills Ave, Bloomfield CT. Additionally, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 30, 1-5 p.m., at Salt Hill Pub in Newport, NH. Please feel free to stop by to have a snack, reminisce, and if you like, add your photos to the collage wall.
