Carol Noiva

Carol and her beloved husband Ray raised their family in East Hartford. She was a devoted Catholic and active member of Our Lady of Peace Church and St. Christopher Church in East Hartford, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She lived her faith by sharing with those less fortunate, including fostering a blind Ogalala Sioux boy so he could attend school. Carol loved cooking and entertaining, hosting Sunday dinners for generations of family as they gathered around to share great food and memories. Everyone looked forward to her Christmas Eve parties, spaghetti dinners, and Sunday pot roast.
In the morning, she loved to listen to the Bob Steele radio show. In more recent years, Carol enjoyed her morning cup of coffee watching MSNBC and the ten o’clock mass. After dinner, Carol loved to enjoy her decaf coffee with something sweet as she watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with her family.

Carol lived the life she desired by being a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She adored her five children, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Carol embodied the best qualities a human being could ever have: unconditional love, generosity, and a strong, fierce spirit.

Carol is survived by her children, Susan (Randy) Hamilton, Dr. Robert (Nancy) Noiva, Jeffrey (Connie) Noiva, Janice (Mike) Walsh, and Elizabeth (Dave) Sheehan. Grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Wethje, Greg (Amelia) Hamilton, Dr. Karen Noiva, Eric Noiva, Jennifer (Camerin) Hahn, Trevon (Katharine) Noiva and Kyle Noiva, Erin (Anthony) LaRussa, Shannon (Christian) Caballero, and Nick Pezzente.
